Jamie Douglas specialises in syntax with a particular focus on A’-constructions. His MPhil (2012-2013) looks at comparative constructions, whilst his PhD (2013-2016) focuses on relativisation. A recurrent theme that has emerged from this research is that there are subtle yet systematic differences in structural size in both comparative and relative constructions both within and across languages, something which he is now exploring within the ReCoS project.
